Prior to starting group classes, you will need to complete 3 – 1 hour 1-on-1 personal training sessions so that one of our trained coaches can assess your current fitness level and range of motion and to teach you a foundation of CrossFit movements. They will include learning movements in Olympic weightlifting, power lifting, gymnastics, rowing, body weight movements, and kettlebells.

Because we care and we want you to move correctly and efficiently! Nowhere else can you get as much out of an hour than with CrossFit. The movements and techniques you’ll perform are new to you and may require a bit of learning. To maximize the functional movements that you will perform, each and every new member must complete our On-Ramp Introductory Course prior to moving into a full time membership, giving you the confidence and knowledge you need to take on any movement.

(If you have previous CrossFit experience, contact us to see if you are able to test out of our On-Ramp Introductory Course.)

One-on-One hour long sessions designed specially to target your goals and be an hour of training focused solely on you. These sessions can be as generic or sport specific as you want them.

Because you want our full and undivided attention.

Our online App – Wodify – is a CrossFit digital whiteboard system that registers athletes for class, records WOD results and remembers past performance. It’s a GAME CHANGER. It’s a way for both you and your coach to monitor your progress from the day you walk through our doors.

Wodify allows you to stay connected with your progress by keeping track of your attendance and your workouts including benchmarks. It not only keeps you connected with your coach, but also our entire CrossFit community. We have learned that people who keep track of their progress are more likely to stay motivated to be fit.

At CrossFit Oconee, we believe that group fitness classes help push you and encourage you to push yourself. Our goal is to create a community and having an encouraging team to workout with helps develop that community. Our strong community will help you improve your workouts and see progress more quickly.

CrossFit group classes are the backbone of what we do at CrossFit oconee. In a small group setting, we provide your exercise programming (warm-up, workout, and skill work) as well as instruction and supply all the necessary equipment. You will learn the basics of powerlifting, Olympic weightlifting, basic gymnastics and bodyweight movements, proper running mechanics and much more. You will always receive instruction from a CrossFit certified trainer and will constantly be observed to ensure that you are performing all movements in a safe and efficient manner.

Our instructors and coaches help you become a better athlete in general. We make sure that you get a better workout than you ever would at a gym working out by yourself. When you don’t want to do those pushups or burpees, our coaches and your fellow crossfitters will help inspire you to get them done and cheer you on! At CrossFit Oconee, we care about our members even outside of classes and the gym. Group fitness classes help hold you accountable for your goals and advocate your progress. Our classes act as your own personal trainer, since coaches will teach you how to complete each movement and push you to become a better you.

After you finish the fundamentals and move into a group class you will stay in contact with our coaches throughout your time at CrossFit Oconee. During that time you may decide that you would like extra training you will continue to meet with your coach in a one-on-one setting.

Personal coaching and programming is a step above our group classes. Not only will you have access to our daily workouts and group classes but you will be assigned a CFO coach to write you personalized workouts and accessory movements that will cater more directly to your personal goals, strengths and weaknesses. With the personal coach/programming option you will receive weekly check ins via email, in person talk or phone call and 1 – 30 min a week training session with your coach.

Often times, an athlete will enter group classes and discover new weaknesses; therefore, refresher sessions with your coach will help you tackle new challenges. Also, once you have been in classes for a while, you may want to do some more specialty work, such as begin a strength program. Your coach will put together strength or skill-based additional programs for you once you get to that point.

Having a personal coach helps you stay on track with your training and your goals. We have found that athletes that forge good relationships with their coaches are more likely to stick on the path to improved fitness, and ultimately the path to a healthier, happier life. While some people can do 20 pull ups with no problem but are unable to squat to full depth may need extra work in that weakness area of the squat. That’s where having a personal CFO coach comes in. Just the same maybe you are unable to do 1 pull up or you are training for a 5K, 10K, Half or Full Marathon, etc. Our skilled staff can get you there

We can help with that! Come in and meet with our knowledgeable and caring staff and let us talk to you about how we can help you meet your goals and have fun doing it.
