I've been pretty active with sports my entire life. I played softball throughout my teenage years and after high school I definitely missed the team atmosphere and community that I grew up around playing sports. I was introduced to Crossfit by my boyfriend (now husband) in 2013 after I transferred to UGA and I haven't looked back since! All the things I needed and wanted out of gym I found at Crossfit Oconee. The community and atmosphere keep you engaged and wanting to come back every day! I love going in the gym thinking I'm capable of "xyz" and coming out having been capable of much more! They truly push you to be your best and do your best every single day.
Up until 2015 I never really put much thought into how nutrition was affecting my performance and goals. I started working with a nutrition coach and over the span of a year and a half I lost 40 pounds and learned so much! I still wanted to know more, so in 2017 I got certified as a nutrition coach through Precision Nutrition. I love being able to meet people where they are at and take them through the steps they need to take in order to reach their goals. Eating is essential to life, so why wouldn't one want to fuel their body properly while also enjoying what they eat?!
