Sports were a big part of my life growing up. I played softball throughout my teenage years and after high school I missed the team atmosphere and community that I grew up around. I was introduced to Crossfit in 2013 and I found all the things I needed and wanted out of gym at Crossfit Oconee! The community and atmosphere keep you engaged and wanting to come back every day. I love going into the gym thinking I'm capable of "xyz" and coming out having been capable of much more! They truly push you to be your best and do your best every single day.
Nutrition was not a priority for me until 2015. I started working with a nutrition coach and learned about how my performance and goals were directly affected by what I ate. In 2017 I got certified in sports and exercise nutrition through Precision Nutrition (L1). I love being able to meet people where they are at and take them through the steps they need to take in order to reach their goals! I believe that a healthy lifestyle is one that should be maintainable long term and my goal is to teach athletes healthy habits they can use for life!
