Having trouble getting enough protein in during the day? Do you ever wake up hungry even though you had a filling dinner?

Casein may be the thing that will help solve your protein and hunger problems. You might even sleep better!

What is Casein?

Casein is a slow-digesting protein which is beneficial to us while we sleep! Consuming protein prior to going to bed helps keep our metabolism raised and our bellies full for hours. Who can complain about that?!

You can make a nighttime shake in the blender with some peanut butter before bed or mix up some casein cookie dough if you have a sweet tooth like me!

Ingredients:

1 scoop of casein protein powder (chocolate or vanilla)

2 tbsp. peanut butter or nut butter

20-40g Old-fashioned rolled oats (depends on how many carbs you have left or want to use)

Sprinkle of cinnamon and cacao powder

Directions: Add enough water to all ingredients until you have a thick cookie dough consistency. Portion your cookie dough out into 5 separate dough balls and freeze 30-40 minutes until the dough becomes firm.

Optional extras:

Chia seeds

Coconut flakes

Dark chocolate chips

Enjoy the added protein!
