Fallen Off The Wagon?

We’ve all been there.  Once you skip working out one day that can make it easier to skip a couple days, and then before you know it you’ve not gone for a whole week!  It can be easy to get down on yourself and even harder to get back into the groove of a regular fitness schedule. Here are a few tips to help you jump back in!

Get An Accountability Partner!

As cliché as this sounds, it’s why I believe CrossFit is so wonderful, the community!  

Talk to somebody, let them know your goals.

Text each other, hold each other accountable.  

Let them know to reach out if they notice you miss a class, and do the same for them!!

Remember That It’s Not ALL or NOTHING!

Be realistic.  

I especially recommend this to individuals who haven’t been in a fitness routine for a long time.  It’s easy to say “I’m gonna jump in head first, I’m going to the gym 6 days a week, starting tomorrow”.

Then we miss one day, and everything goes out the door!

Set yourself up for success, build up to that goal with a smaller goal.  Start with “I’m going to go in three days this week”. Build upon that!

Talk To Your Coaches

Finally, on top of that accountability partner, talk to your coach(es).

That’s what we’re here for.

Let us know what might be making it hard for you to come in.  Let us help you work through that! While we may not be able to check in with you on every class you miss, we can absolutely calm some anxiety around certain exercises and help you make a plan!
